WORDS FROM THE FOUNDER
"I've always wanted to bring something to life from a deep sense of gratitude and love. The name TESOURO meaning 'treasure' in Portuguese, is a heartfelt tribute to my late grandmother, who instilled in me some of the things that make me who I am today.
Growing up, I was always the friend who brought the jewellery to share with my friends. While they would bring clothes to swap or do each other's hair, I'd arrive with accessories to adorn and uplift as it was a hard life being a teenage girl haha. It was my way of showing loving and connection and making memories with the people I care about.
Now in my old years, (30 - plus a couple years) I realised that the true treasures in my life were the people who had been by my side through thick and thin. From my Mum to my grandmother, who taught me the value of hard work and dedication. My friends, who have laughed with me, cried with me, and supported me every step of the way. And my family, who have loved me unconditionally.
For me it was a no brainer as to why I decided to name each piece of jewellery after the people who matter most to me. From my grandmother's simplicity to my best friend's bold personalities, every piece is a reflection of the love and appreciation I have for them. Even though, I may not always be the best at texting back sorry! BUT, I promise to always treasure the relationships that make life worth living. I hope that the launch of TESOURO becomes a symbol of that gratitude, a reminder to cherish the people and moments that make our hearts glisten.
